Completed applications will be assessed by Council, and if successful an invoice will be issued for the relevant fees. A security bond may also be required.

For example, counselling, education, research support, vocational training for the disadvantaged, advocacy, respite care, family support, substance dependence education, counselling and rehabilitation, referral, life education, sheltered workshops, guide dog training, social work or any other service which supports or enhances the quality of life and its clients.
A not-for-profit organisation whose principal objectives are to:
promote and encourage social cohesion through the provision of community services or activities, the furthering of multiculturalism or the support of identifiable groups who may require specific support due to age, gender, religion, ethnicity, health, disability or some other factor that sets a group apart from the general community; or provide or support an essential service on a volunteer basis; or encourage the appreciation and/or protection of the natural environment; or preserve and promote an appreciation of culture or heritage.
For example, non-formal youth education and training, youth activities, personal development, cultural or ethnic activites supporting a cohesive multi-cultural society, community education, environmental awareness, social justice, arts and heritage conservation and promotion, any other activity or service which is provided by a group of volunteers that enhances the livability, cultural diversity, environment or social cohesiveness of the Brisbane community.

Based on your proposed activities, please note that the following documents would need to be obtained or developed before the event:
Insurance

Copies of the Certificate for Currency for Public Liability Insurance for any subcontractors engaged for the event
Electrical

All electrical cords and equipment must be tested and tagged
Engineering certification

Engineering certification must be obtained for all tents and marquees over 100 square metres and all stages and grandstands, regardless of size. You need to provide copies of the relevant paperwork to the inspecting Council officer on the day of the event.
Rides

A copy of the plant registration for all rides/jumping castles A copy of each operator’s Certificate of Currency for Public Liability Insurance
Selling food

A list of all food stall holders and their food business licence numbers (Generally food businesses that involve the preparation of food do require a licence. You can find out the requirements for temporary food stalls and mobile food vehicles. There are some exemptions that apply for non-profit organisations.)
Selling liquor

liquor licence from Queensland Government if required to sell or serve alcohol at your event

Terms and conditions

1.
The activity or event is to take place only in the areas approved (i.e. there is to be no encroachment into other parts of the park).
2.
The activity or event, including bump-in and bump-out activities, is to take place only during the times approved.
3.
All park facilities, such as toilets, barbeques, shelters, playgrounds and car parking areas, other than those facilities within a designated exclusive use site, are to be made available to the general public at all times.
4.
No pathway or stairway within and immediately adjoining the park may be obstructed at any time.
5.
Any non-Council structures, fixtures or equipment brought into the park for the activity or event, such as marquees and jumping castles, are to be free standing only. No nails, pegs, etc., are to be driven into park surfaces.
6.
An activity or event that is open to the public is to provide amenities suitable for people of all abilities, such as accessible toilets, ramps, bins and other fixtures at appropriate heights, tables without chairs for wheelchairs, etc.
7.
No confetti, rice, streamers or similar materials are to be thrown in the park.
8.
The area is to be maintained and left in a clean and tidy condition and all litter generated to be removed from the site. The park surface, if damaged, is to be restored at your expense to its original condition.
9.
Start and end times for functions and activities will be shown on permits and applicants must not exceed these.
10.
All fixtures or other items brought into the park are to be removed immediately after completion of the event.
11.
No vehicles are to enter the park, except on designated roads or in carparks, unless a Vehicle Access Permit is obtained.
12.
Additional special conditions may be advised as part of your booking approval. These special conditions must also be complied with.
13.
Erecting or placing any temporary structure covering more than 15 m² (must be free standing), or bringing in equipment such as generators, portable toilets permit not required.
14.
Any damage to park assets (e.g. surfaces, garden beds, shrubs, trees, structures, etc.) is to be repaired and restored to original condition within 72 hours of the conclusion of the activity or event, at the applicant’s expense.
15.
Where the damage is so great or of a nature that Council has to engage contractors to undertake repair works, Council will use the applicant’s security bond for undertaking such works. If repair costs exceed the bond amount, the applicant will be responsible for the additional costs.
16.
The applicant will be advised of the fee costs after evaluation of the application. Payment of any required permit fee must be made before any approved activities can commence.
17.
If the parkland or any equipment within the parkland is damaged by any vehicle referred to in the permit, the owner and driver of such vehicle and each of them shall be liable for the cost of repairing such damage and for the value of any property which has been damaged beyond repair.
18.
The permit, whilst it remains valid, must be kept in the vehicle, and at all times the vehicle is in the parkland in pursuance of the permit, the whole of the front page of the permit must be displayed in such a position within the vehicle so as to be visible to a person outside the vehicle and shall be made available for inspection by an authorised officer of the Council upon demand by that officer.
19.
The permit is no longer valid if the vehicle is parked in the parkland after the prescribed time shown on the permit.
20.
The permit is only valid for the vehicle/s specified.
21.
In the event of wet weather all vehicle access is automatically cancelled.
22.
All gates must be closed and locked after entry and again after vehicles exit.
23.
Unless otherwise specified on the permit, vehicle access is only to facilitate the drop off and pick up of equipment and vehicles are not permitted to remain in the park.
24.
This permit only allows vehicle access to the parkland. Any other activity should be addressed in a designated site booking/special booking.
