Purpose of the SmartForm

Complete this form if you wish to apply for use of City of Gold Coast ("The City") controlled land to conduct a community or major event.

Important information

In order to secure your preferred event location and date, you are encouraged to submit your online application many months prior to the event. Processing times will vary from two weeks for a smaller event to significantly more for larger events.

Assessment criteria

The following assessment criteria must be considered before making a submission:
Permits are issued to non-profit organisations and charity groups.No commercial/corporate advertising is displayed on the banner.Banners are placed at the approved sites and within a radius of 5 km from the activity.Banners are constructed of vinyl, canvas or similar flexible material.Banners are a maximum 5m wide x 1m in height (excluding Upper Coomera where the banners are a maximum 2m wide x 1m in height).Banners located on State controlled roads require approval from the Department of Transport and Main Roads (07) 5596 9500.Council is indemnified for any injury/damage caused by the banners.A maximum period of four weeks for each permit (excluding Mudgeeraba banner sites which are for a maximum period of two weeks).

If you are planning on supplying liquor on public land, an Alcohol, Safety and Event Management Plan will be required to be completed and submitted. Please note, it may take up to 31 days to process any liquor application (21 days for OLGR and 10 days for City of Gold Coast).
