This form is to apply for an ‘h’ endorsement on your NT driver licence and a Commercial Passenger Vehicle Identity Card (CPVID Card) in order to drive Rideshare vehicles.
If you intend to operate your own Rideshare vehicle, you must also complete the Commercial Vehicle Licence (CVL) application form.
Before progressing with this application, you will need to have the following documents with you:
•your current Open NT driver licence; •current National Police Certificate issued by SAFE NT, not older than three months, which will need to be uploaded as part of this application;•current medical assessment completed by a medical practitioner, not older than six months, which will need to be uploaded as part of this application. The form (L2 Medical Assessment of Fitness to Drive) is located at nt.gov.au/driving/industry/vehicle-information-bulletins-and-forms; •if you are not a citizen or permanent resident of Australia you must have your passport and visa details ready to enter into the form; and •your ABN (Australian Business Number).
You will also be required to enter an active email address to finalise this application and receive correspondence.
You are able to save your application and return to it at a later time. Please note you only have seven days to complete the application or you will need to start again.
The application processing time may take up to 10 working days. You will be advised of the outcome of this application via email which will include payment details.
What is an h Endorsement?
Once you have been approved to drive a commercial passenger vehicle allowing you to drive paying passengers, your driver licence will have an ‘h’ endorsement listed under the Endorsements section as highlighted in this example.
